Lilith is a 1939 John G. Alden sailing sloop. She is a carvel planked Cypress on Mahogany frames, with teak cabin carlins and wood cabin tops and deck. Originally named 'Carolyn' (pictured below), and raced as 'Rangoon'. She then ended up in Florida, United States of America and was in an abandoned state. She was rescued by a passionate wood boat enthusiast who spent 5 years and $180,000.00 US in the early 1980's refitting. Out of refit she was named 'Rangoon II'.

'Rangoon II' was transported by rail across the continental United States of America, and then sailed to Washington state. She then ended up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada sometime in the early 2000's. After being donated to the Sail and Life Training Society (S.A.L.T.S.) she was moored at Fisherman's Wharf and sold locally. In 2022 I purchased 'Rangoon II' and immediately renamed her to 'Lilith'.
My dear Norwegian Forest Cat 'Lucifer' and I moved aboard and began a series of projects aboard our new home. Firstly, I repowered from a Westerbeke 27 diesel motor to a 15Kw liquid cooled electric motor. I donated the motor to Tradewinds Marine in Sidney.
